WHERE THE FOSPITALITY APARTMENTS ARE LOCATED
The apartments are a stone’s throw away from both the pay-beach as well as the free beach. Varkiza’s shops, restaurants and cafes are a leisurely short 3 minute walk from the appartments, as is the bus stop which connects you to picturesque Sounio and Glyfada strip. Varkiza is also easily accessible from Eleftherios Venizelos airport and Athen’s Centre – Syntagma Square which can be reached by a short bus ride to the nearest metro station ‘Elliniko’, or by taxi.
VARKIZA THE FISHING PORT
Originally a quaint rural fishing village, Varkiza has developed into a small suburban seaside town. Complete with restaurants, cafes, bars, tavernas as well as supermarkets, bakeries and parks. The area is very child-friendly with several modern playgrounds nearby, and a fishing port where you can watch the fishermen bring up their nets and sell the catch of the day.

There are also easily reachable trekking routes that can take you to idyllic spots with a panoramic view of the riviera and breathtaking sunset.

Varkiza is one of the main areas of the Athenian Riviera conveniently located near some of the nicest organized beaches in Athens – Astera Beach, Voula Beach and Glyfada central beach. You can also walk to Varkiza’s organized beach or enjoy a free swim at Varkiza’s characteristic, natural alcoves, ‘Limanakia’.
